Making 75k in your 20s isn't a losing scenario lmao.

Ding. Ding. Ding. It’s not the top kids that this system will fail. It’s the kids who make $500k and then $600k. They graduate, their careers sputter out and then go to get an office job and make $75k. What are they going to do then. The ncaa won’t care…

@BizzomyRizzo @JBundy62 You morons are missing the point. If they had a game on grass and they weren’t going to be ready they had plenty of grass fields to practice on. The weather has been good enough to do it the last two weeks.
The bigger issue is that Gait would even use this as an excuse.

This answer sucks. There is literally grass fields right next door to the lally athletics complex. Go practice on grass if you need to.

Interesting quote from Gary Gait postgame about playing on a grass field for the first time this year. Considering the Final Four is on a grass field (Syracuse is a long way from getting there), this answer doesn't necessarily exude confidence.

@coming_soon62 I’ve been a defender of his, but this just made me scratch my head. The team was so off yesterday.

@SUvadala @number1cusefan Listen this is obviously true, but also it is an awful answer and there have been opportunities to go outside the last couple of weeks. The fields at Clay central weren’t total mud pits, so I find it hard to believe they were on the hill.
English

@Dcaggs @number1cusefan Factors like snow and mud enter into it. I’d guess every team in the northeast has had this problem in 2026. The Ensley Center is a huge enhancement to being able to have quality full field workouts. A former SU coach said it was more important for lacrosse than football
English

@cusefootball63 @JBundy62 Bro the last snow was a dusting that did t even stick. This week was rainy, but I had my son out at Clay Central Park kicking. It wasn’t amazing but if that field was serviceable I find it hard to believe the university doesn’t have any that can be used.
English

@NHB_JAMIR Nobody knows. I will say they have done a pretty good job expanding that brand, but at that time it was head scratching.

I love how everyone blames Pitt and Syracuse for the Big East downfall and just leave out Boston College, Miami, VT, Rutgers and everyone else that left way before us lmao

What are you talking about. Syracuse has great fields that they could use. Ones with good drainage that could be used to practice on. The snow has been gone for weeks now and plenty of days that they could’ve got out in the grass if they wanted.
Sorry if my anecdote about practicing in the snow upset you. It’s what we did when I played because we had nowhere else to go.
English

@JBundy62 Weird… I practiced on grass fields all through school in central New York. We literally would practice on snow covered fields…
English

@Dcaggs @number1cusefan Did the grass cause the bad TOs and leaving their best attack wide open like 10 times
English

@cuse_man7 I am really starting to believe this… it’s just so strange. They can hang with any team most of the time, but then games like this happen. Then we blame it on playing on grass?
