Some blatant BS on Tunde Onakoya's post and why it should be criticized rather than celebrated. First BS: The Louvre is one of the most visited places on Earth; thousands of people from everywhere pass through daily, including Nigerians and other Africans who live in or visit Paris. Plenty have probably sat down with a chessboard or phone app there without filming it. So you are most likely not the first. Second BS: This is not climbing Everest, curing a disease, or even winning a real tournament. It's content creation with a cinematic filter, motivational voiceover, and agbada for aesthetics. There is nothing special about it. Third BS: You are belittling the whole country because it implies that basic visibility abroad (with a camera crew) is some rare triumph for the culture, rather than just normal life for mobile people in 2025/2026. Nigerians (and Black people broadly) achieve far more concrete things daily without the hype reel. Now you make it seem like playing chess in an open museum is groundbreaking achievement in Nigeria. While this doesn't take anything away from what you have achieved, especially for the poor kids who live in Nigeria, it displays self aggrandization and foolish puffery. It's an embarrassment to the whole country.

Earlier this year, I sponsored 10 secondary school students for JAMB and those who have seen their results, have done excellently well. The least score was 250/400 and the highest so far is 314/400😃 In another news, one of the beneficiaries of my annual law school scholarship for first class students also made a first class from law school in the recently released bar final results.
