@richardhyland @baeckford It should also be noted that the latest data shows the Labour Government only has an 11% approval rating, so it must be abolished as soon as possible.

@baeckford I’d like you to cite your sources because recent polling, such as the 2024 Civitas/Deltapoll survey, shows only 15% support abolishing private schools while 52% oppose it, contradicting your assertion of consistent overwhelming public opposition

Private schools are one of the ultimate tests of someone’s world view. Opinion polls have consistently shown for decades that the overwhelming majority of the British public are opposed to them. Only 7% of kids ever go to them. Time to abolish private schools once and for all

So in 1,400 years of Islamic rule, you managed to find two years when the system worked? Hardly an endorsement. This story of Umar ibn ‘Abd al‑Aziz’s rule as dramatically reducing visible poverty, overstates the evidence by implying that poverty was completely eradicated across the whole caliphate. The hard evidence to support this claim is absent.

Islam is a solid third option to the Western socialist-capitalist scale. It rejects both. Islam protects private property, inheritance, and trade, but abolishes usury and penalises unused wealth hoarding. It balances individual property rights with mandatory protection for the poor, needy, and vulnerable. It also bans sinful trade such as predatory market manipulation (short-selling, price fixing), exploitation, gambling, and sinful sectors and commodities such as pornography and intoxicants. Capitalism relies on taxing liquid income and realised sales. This targets the workers and leaves the rich to hoard their wealth with 'deferred taxation' in stock portfolios and offshore accounts. The 2.5% Zakat continuously targets and shrinks hoarded unused wealth which includes stocks (current market value/share of company's liquid assets). Giving it directly to those who need it most. The rich are therefore incentivised to actively invest their wealth into productive ventures putting it straight back into public circulation which: generates jobs, stimulates economic activity, and increases the supply of goods and services. This is the Shariah they don't want you to know.

Turning illegal immigrants into legal ones is an abuse of the public's trust. You know we do not want immigrants from the Middle East. Pakistan, Turkey and North Africa. People from these countries top the league tables of criminality and sexual assault. So what have you done? Given them legal routes so more can come into our country. You have no mandate to do this. We do not want it You are abusing your own people.
Home Office@ukhomeoffice

New safe and legal routes will open for refugees through community sponsorship, refugee study and work routes. Numbers will start small and be controlled, with strict screening and approved sponsors to ensure the system supports genuine refugees while preventing abuse.

No. No. No. Labour's policy is mad We do not want more routes for "asylum seekers" They must stay within their continent of origin, where culture & religion are similar Fleeing Sudan? Stay in Africa Fleeing Vietnam? Stay in Asia Fleeing Syria? Stay in ME /Asia This is nuts.

I am beyond angry now. The government is trampling over what the British people want. We do not want any more immigration. Preventing illegal immigration by handing them a legal route is playing the most disgusting trick on the British. We will have the same people coming in who do not share are values and they will do it legally. You are ensuring that our hate for illegal immigration will now include hate for all immigrants as well. This will enable more of the worst kinds of people to come into our country, and with no way of throwing them out because you are making it legal for them to come. This will cause a surge of Muslim immigrants from the countries that head the league tables of crime and sexual assault, as they will be sponsored by mosques. I used to be a mild-mannered person. Not any more. I will vote for whichever party has the most stringent policy for stopping immigration and protecting the British people.
Home Office@ukhomeoffice

New safe and legal routes for refugees to come to the UK will begin to rollout in the autumn, giving genuine refugees a pathway to rebuild their lives. Our new community sponsorship scheme will allow approved groups to choose the refugees they sponsor, taking responsibility for their housing, integration and supporting them into work. Trusted universities will be able to directly sponsor refugees through a new refugee study route. A new refugee work sponsorship route is expected to open next year. All arrivals will have refugee status, undergo strict biometric screening, criminality checks and health assessments before arrival, to ensure support reaches those in genuine need. Numbers will start small and build over time, ensuring the routes remain controlled and sustainable while public confidence is restored in Britain's immigration system. The first refugee arrivals are expected by autumn 2027.

You don’t get it do you?! I saw privilege that people paid for & didn’t earn. And instead I want an education system that gives everyone the opportunities I & others had. You clearly can’t understand that concept because you want to preserve privilege for those who can afford it.
Victoria@vickygrayson_

Offensive from @annaturley. She attended Ashford School, a private school. An opportunity she wants others to be denied. Instead of trying to widen opportunity, she is busy pulling up the ladder. Wonder how her parents feel knowing their daughter would have made fees 20% higher

There is only one way to protect a multi-faith nation, and that is to ensure that we have robust laws which protect non-Islamic faiths, together with laws that control the activities of Islam. We need the following: 1. No organisation which does not respect freedom of religion or equality of the sexes is to receive charity status, government funding or recognition and may not run schools. 2. All laws of the land must apply equally to everyone with no group-based exceptions. 3. Freedom of speech is absolute. The only exception being if it is a direct incitement to violence or contains personal threats. No to shutting down free speech because it might upset someone or because they might take violent exception to it, which is what happens now. 4. Everyone has an absolute right to criticise any ideology, including all religions. No exceptions. If we do not put these things into law, our freedoms will continue to be systematically eroded by Islam. Muslims are already able to prevent free speech by threatening violence, so the speaker gets arrested for a public order offence, even though it was not the speaker who was being disorderly. This enables Islamic censorship.

With the danger mounting of fresh atrocities in Sudan I raised this in the @UKHouseofLords yesterday: Lord Alton of Liverpool (CB) My Lords, the world’s worst humanitarian catastrophe is in Sudan. Can the noble Baroness say what more was said at the G7 summit about the atrocities in Sudan, given that it is a major root cause of displaced people, of whom there are now 120 million in the world? Will she look at the statements issued yesterday by the African Union and by the US State Department about the dangers now emerging in North Kordofan, and the danger that the genocidal attack that was made in El Fasher in Darfur quite recently will be replicated? Given our duties under the genocide convention to look for emerging signs of genocide, will she take this away as a matter of great urgency? Baroness Smith of Basildon (Lab) Of course. I think the noble Lord has raised these issues already with my noble friend Lady Chapman, who is well aware of them, and I will pass his comments on to her. Yes, it is a matter of urgency. It is something of a shock, when we think of what is going on in the world, that Sudan gets so few column inches and so little attention in our newspapers in this country. It seems sometimes that they move on to another issue and then another, but it is still happening and is still important. I will discuss this with my noble friend Lady Chapman and see what more we can say to the noble Lord.

To understand the ramping up of immigration that Labour is overseeing against the will of the British people, this video is a must-watch. Please watch and share. Tom does fantastic fact based research. The majority of the government's cabinet consists of Fabian Society members whose policy is to promote immigration and fast-track their citizenship. They are especially focused on importing people from the countries whose people top the charts for criminal activity, rape and sexual assault of our women and girls. youtu.be/SHFaj2UY7uI?si….

Read this. The majority of British people do not want more people from alien cultures coming to exploit us. We want it to end. Why will no one listen? Our governments are supposed to protect us and our national interests, not deliberately destroy us.

I am furious about this to a degree that it's hard to express. This is important. Shabana Mahmood is laying out plans for more asylum seekers to come to the UK using a 'Community Sponsorship Scheme' but very few people know what this entails. I am so angry not just for the reasons that are clearly obvious to everyone but also due to the fact that this was all laid out in the Fabian Society's publication 'Lawful & Fair' in June 2023. Keep in mind that almost our entire cabinet are Fabians including Shabana. It says: '“In addition, the UK should create a single ‘community welcome’ route to enable communities to sponsor refugees. The UK Refugee Service would be responsible for administering a single, uncapped, additional, sponsorship route. This community welcome route would allow citizen groups (including faith, charity and community groups as well as universities and employers) to sponsor refugees, building on existing schemes including the community sponsorship scheme and the Homes for Ukraine scheme, but not restricted to any particular nationality. Sponsorship also has the benefit of injecting community voice into the system and improves integration outcomes.” This means that, for example, Mosques could make use of that uncapped sponsorship route to bring in as many 'asylum seekers' as they choose to sponsor. No doubt with shady foreign funding. Then the government would call that 'integration' because they had integrated into the Muslim 'community'. And it says: “A community-based welcome strategy would fit and move in lockstep with a new national refugee policy (for example, requiring a minimum level of refugee resettlement in all local authorities) and with a single community welcome sponsorship scheme for all nationalities, as outlined above, but encompassing all new arrivals.” Got that? 'A minimum level of refugee resettlement in all local authorities'. The document also makes the case for: - The right to work for all asylum seekers after 6 months - Making all kinds of migrants including asylum seekers British Citizens as soon as possible - Building an industry out of asylum seeking within a 'UK Refugee Service' with 1,000 staff - An online portal for applications from Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, etc - Speeding up approvals and blanket approving claims from certain countries What this means, as is so clearly obvious to us all is that this government, from before its first day in office has been following a playbook that has been decades in the making. They are not listening. They are not reacting to events or changing course based on evidence. They are locked in and utterly convinced of their righteousness. They simply do not care what you think or what evidence exists. This is echo chamber thinking at its worst. Groups convincing themselves that they are correct and then gradually, collectively working their way into positions of leadership in order implement their master plan. I covered this 'Lawful & Fair' document in quite some detail in a youtube video last year. I'll link that in the comments. The Fabian Society is not just a think tank. It's a network. A belief system. A cult. This will be looked back on and studied in the future as a political disaster of civilisational proportions. That's if it's us that get to write the history books. I'm utterly disgusted by what our political system has produced. Tone deaf, ill informed, philosophically infantile, economically illiterate, virtue signaling dim wits.

@Bushra1Shaikh Two important differences. One, we are a Christian country, not a Muslim one, and the second is that church bells are a pleasant sound, whilst the Muslim call to prayer is decidedly unpleasant.

I live near two churches, and every so often the church bells ring. Does that mean Christianity is being forced on me? Of course not. In fact, I quite like hearing them. They remind me that there's something greater than our day-to-day lives and ourselves. That's why I find the outrage over the Adhan so strange. Simply hearing a call to prayer isn't the same as having a religion imposed on you.
