@itsVenatorial I truly think it’s someone’s job and they just mix it up to look “smart”. There has not been a Truly fair format for tier 1/2 quals since ESL where it was 4 Swiss quals with points into a double elim bo3 bracket. I think they just too lazy to make it last 5 weeks.

Come back to play a qual for fun and they cooked up the most braindead qualifier format I have ever seen. How is it these people’s job, yet they create a format that looks like it was created by a drunk person at 3am hitting random buttons.

@Arxndel Some of the siege admins are some of the most incompetent people I have seen. I’ve played comp siege for like 9 years and it has never gotten better. Year after year they cook up some format that SUCKS. It hast been truly “fair” since the 4 weeks of Swiss on ESL days.

@SauniR6 @RetroSpectreR6_ My guess is when you swap to ultra, it forced the GPU to load and compile the high-qual textures and shaders. When you swap back, they are still cached and optimized, but can draw the much simpler versions.

@RetroSpectreR6_ Current guess is that it forces the engine to recompile PSOs, reload GPU buffers, driver shader caches and pipeline caches in VRAM. Essentially just rebuilds and wipes caches

Here's the method. I'm going to try to figure out a way to make it more permanent but for now this works well.

Official announcement later but were expanding invited teams to 12 from 8 for E6. This will greatly elevate the competition level in the event. Excited to see who’s going to qualify as well. That does also mean qualifier slots are decreasing to 2 per weekend.
