Teamwork in action! Our Marketing students collaborated and learned how to use our new heat press to layout and create BETA Club t-shirts, using communication and attention to detail to create a finished product they’re proud of.
JROTC students and Sgt. Campbell lowered our flag to half-staff in honor of Braleigh Busbee. The flags at all four campuses will remain at half-staff until the interment.
Winter Formal tickets are now on sale for $20 each. Grades 9-12 can purchase a ticket and attend. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Kerby or on GoFan.
Yesterday our DECA and FBLA students traveled to UWA and competed in the IMC3 competition. They had a wonderful experience. Congratulations to Avery Roberts on winning 3rd place and a $1,500 scholarship to UWA in Vocal Solo!
DHS seniors enjoyed a trip to Calera, Alabama, where they were able to tour the Alabama Power Training Center; the students learned about a variety of jobs, benefits offered, and the importance of safety.
DHS would like to thank Smurfit WestRock for hosting an exciting industry tour for our 10th, 11th, & 12th graders. The students learned about job opportunities as well as benefits, visited the plant, learned about safety, and enjoyed delicious pizza.
