TikTok is reportedly building a new app internally called “M2” specifically for U.S. users. According to The Information, it is set for a September launch. The current app will shut down by March 2026 and users will have to download the new one to keep accessing the platform.

@AetherAurelia Im totally fine with buying stuff from devs (I bought Deco,) but I really don’t like when the most basic things are paywalled. One thing that comes to mind is paying $5 for a minimal app launcher widget.
