Shocking 🚨 ‼️ Another day, another suicide by Resident Doctor ‼️ Dr. Divya, a second-year postgraduate student in the Department of General Medicine at Kilpauk Medical College, was found dead at her rented residence. She had allegedly died by suicide, reportedly due to intense academic and workload pressure. Authorities are now investigating whether any developments in her personal life may have contributed to her mental distress. The police have seized her mobile phone and are analysing call records, messages, and other digital data to understand her final moments. As of now, no suicide note has been found. Another brilliant and committed student has succumbed to the toxicity within medical colleges. What is the government doing to prevent such tragedies? Why are postgraduate residents still forced to work such long and punishing hours? What steps, if any, is the NMC taking to ensure these incidents don't keep repeating?

10days ago at 8.48 am I got a call from my sister while I was sitting in OT and patient was being shifted to OT table. 1st call and I could here only she in calling my name and disconnected. Normally I don't pick calls in morning when inside OT but that day I picked.
