We have been on this earth for a lot longer than we were enslaved and all that time was not spent playing in bushes. It was spent collecting and creating most of what is known now.

So Florida is promoting the idea that enslaved African Americans were actually being taught trades. How about the fact that those that were enslaved were already skilled in a range of highly sort out trades, which is what made them so valuable.

If teaching correct black history makes other people feel uncomfortable etc... Imagine how it makes us feel. The truth is uncomfortable but necessary.
