people severely underestimate the impact The Fab Five had on an entire generation of hoopers. winning doesn’t always equal cultural impact — that team was (and is) a reflection of so many young hoopers from inner cities and that’s why they remain relevant to this day

@BenAxelrod Because they did more than play basketball, they changed the culture of the game. It wasn’t just five guys playing basketball, it was five guys changing away. The basketball was played and looked and was thought about.

@Thechat101 So we get ahead of this bullshit narrative. Um the black community makes up about 13% of America yet it is about 1/4 of the population in NASHVILLE. I guess those black people don’t count though. Stop with the bull.

Glasses Malone says Black people helped empower LeBron James to become a billionaire, and now he’s trying to take the Memphis Grizzlies away from Memphis. That’s taking away jobs and opportunities, and he wants to move it to Nashville, a predominantly white location.

You’d think there is enough money at UCLA to have more than 1 jersey with a players name and number on it.

I’ll say this for Memphis hotels and NBA players. They clearly have not stayed at the Moxy Memphis Downtown hotel. That hotel would fit in any city you put it in. I loved it.

If LeBron was as persuasive as some of you all are now saying he is, the name ‘LeFlop’ would not exist and he’d get way more calls than he has. He can’t even get refs to blow a whistle but can get Memphis to move to Nashville off of a chat on the 13th green. Idiots.

@Mozzie30 @Driquo @BillSimmons Last I remember wasn’t he screaming I’m back in Portland. No one ever gives LeBron the benefit of doubt losing the year before without love and kyrie

@Mozzie30 @BillSimmons Those are excuses not reasons. The Warriors should have taken better care of their bodies but nobody is 100% in the Finals. Also Draymond was dumb enough to react. Should have had better discipline.

Hey Bill, He won the last 3 games because curry was prolly 60 percent, no bogut, and iggy had a bad back.. not to mention a horrendously reffed game 6 to get it to game 7. Also Kyrie Irving was also Batman in games 5-6-7 including the game winning shot.. Not to mention LeBron cheaply dragging his nuts across greens face to induce a reaction and got him suspended for game 5. Everyone and their mama knows if green doesn’t get suspended for game 5 that series is wrapped up. Have a good day Bill.

As someone who grew up near Cleveland and lived in Nashville I must say I thought people from Memphis had thicker skin. Cleveland stays getting talked down upon and people handle it way better. LeBron can’t make you all more mad than he did the people in Cleveland.

@Joshalmoro10 @Sourceofboxing No. Becoming champ in 3 weights in 3 fights from having one off fights against guys who had belts but weren’t the lineal champion (except for Ricky Hatton who was clearly past it). He didn’t defend those titles. Floyd didn’t defend 140. Conor McGregor didn’t defend either belt.
