Mastery attracts more than morality does. We respond less to virtue than to execution. Evil, done with precision, commands attention. You are not drawn to villains in movies because they are evil. You are drawn to them because they are excellent. They do wrong with intent, with God level accuracy. You don’t admire what is right as much as You admire what is done well. Excellence seduces more than righteousness.
