EASM wishes you a Happy New Year! We are tackling our New Year's resolution to become more sustainable by analyzing the carbon emissions from our last conference in Innsbruck 2022 and working on measures to reduce waste and emissions for the conference in Belfast 2023.

Today, EASM takes a moment to express sincere gratitude for all of Jonas Heck’s hard work as Office Manager. Jonas’ contributions have been invaluable. Sadly, his term ends at the end of the year. We want to thank Jonas wholeheartedly and wish him all the best for the future.

Last Wednesday EASM took the chance to discuss the issue of sport and human rights at an epas forum. The forum focused on: Freedom of expression of athletes, freedom of the press, gender equality and the media and combating hate speech in sport. bit.ly/3OSw2fr

#EASM2022 debriefing took place during the last EASM Board Meeting. The EASM 2022 Innsbruck team presented a positive final report which will be used as a transfer of knowledge to the EASM 2023 team in Belfast which secures the sustainable development of the conference’s future.

EASM's student representative Zohreh Abdollahkhani together with Ioannis Konstantopoulos from the student working group represented EASM at the 5th Impulse Summit in St. Gallen. Around 200 participants were challenging the status quo of the sports industry.

Zohreh Abdollahkhani completes the EASM Board. Congratulations! After a selection process including several candidates, the newly elected EASM Board has appointed Zohreh Abdollahkhani to be EASM's Student Representative until 2025.

Anton Behrens becomes the new Secretary General for EASM Last Friday, after a selection process between several candidates to take over the EASM Office, Dr Anton Behrens from the University of Leipzig was appointed unanimously as the new Secretary General for EASM. @UniLeipzig
