Already getting wind of lots of layoffs as budgets take shape. Next 2 months will see more layoffs… most district have a date in March or April by when layoff notices must go out.

Given that ESSER is allocated proportional to Title I, most hiring is happened in Title I districts. We argue that the end of ESSER creates a risk of layoffs, particularly in those poorer districts. You'll have to read the conclusion to get estimates of the magnitudes. 4/n
