@ElGrecoAnglos @aggourosporos @FreeCyprus1 @MikeDiplockre So you dont know about population exchange? Balkan Turks come to mainland Turkey and Anatolian Greeks went to mainland Greece. And do not talk about Greeces economic position. Yes Turkey is in a bad position since 2020 but It is definetly NOT comparable with greece DEBT is crazy.

The name "Roma" should not be taken over willy-nilly like this. There is only one city of Roma. "Romani" is also confusing with Romanians. "Gypsy" is likewise a wrong name, incorrectly referring to Egyptians. We don't call Japanese people "Nihonjin", or Indians "Bharatiya" in everyday English. Nobody should take over the term "Roma" just because it is their endonym. I don’t understand why a unique, non overlapping name cannot be found.

Happy International Roma Day! 💚❤️ 💙 Today we celebrate the vibrant culture, rich history & invaluable contributions of the Roma community — the largest ethnic minority in Europe. Get inspired by Victoria & other EU citizens of Roma origin! 👇 #EU4Roma

@ElGrecoAnglos @kafamkaldirmio @DIAS copper (Eng.), cuprum (Latin), kupfer (German), kopar (Icelandic): bakır. ‘Copper’s root is Old Turkish ‘kap’: container, cup, vessel, pot / Also Turkish ‘bakır’ means ‘shining, bright’. A complete overlap of meaning and concept.

@ElGrecoAnglos @kafamkaldirmio @DIAS Cyprus: an island name. It came from ‘copper’. Copper came from Turkish ‘kap’ (bowl, cup); Turkish ‘bakır’. See “Copper” item 😎😎😎😎
