Well yes. It’s like saying if Gerrard went to Chelsea in 2005 he’d have a much more successful career too. Great they would’ve got their trophies that they deserved to have, but i think their impact and legacy at those clubs would be nowhere near what they’ve done with us.

@dillwuncan Sancho showed glimpses at United but couldn’t translate it over to prem and yh United fucked him, and idk Nkunku just looked a mess. Was neither a nuisance nor was he effective on the ball.

Being 19 and doing what he’s doing in Bundesliga is great don’t get me wrong, but the hit rate of attacking Bundesliga players to prem does concern me.
And yes I know about Ekitike, but in general it doesn’t tend to pan out well, but like I said being 19 might make it different.

Needs to play more centrally tho. Wouldn’t mind him LW if he interchanged with the 9 more the way he used to with Nunez in 22/23 and 23/24. It seems when he plays this season it’s LW and only LW, even if Hugo drifts left.

Squad rotation player. Him and Diaz were pretty much sharing LW duties for most of last season and both brought polar opposite traits to the table which made it work, and got a good spread of goals between each other.
Gakpo is far too limited to take the LW reins all to himself

Looking back, i think I've been overly harsh on Gakpo. Has he been dreadful? Yes. I think it is mainly down to how he's being used and how the team isn't functioning. There is a valuable player in there.
