The Israeli military confirmed it killed Hezbollah commander Ali Musa Daqduq, saying he was killed south of the Litani River, in southern Lebanon. Daqduq was a veteran Hezbollah leader with extensive operational history in Iraq where he helped establish Iran-backed militias. The U.S. sought Daqduq for his activities in Iraq, including a raid where he and other gunmen murdered five American soldiers in 2007. The IDF killed Daqduq's son, Musa, in 2023. Reports indicated that the strikes killed Musa in Syria's Quneitra province where he was operating on behalf of Hezbollah.
