I don’t know if anyone following me is DCAing into shitcoins, but in case you are: The core problem with DCAing into shitcoins is that DCA only makes sense when the underlying asset has a reasonable expectation of going up over time. Shitcoins don’t have that, generally speaking. And for the few that do, you probably lack the skill to identify them in advance (just like me). Buying what’s already trending is a fundamentally different approach because you’re not predicting anything fundamentally. You don’t need a thesis about why it might move because it’s already moving. That removes the hardest part of the problem, which is picking winners ahead of time. That approach is better on two fronts at the same time. The analysis is simpler (looking at what’s pumping) and the risk is more straightforward (not placing a bet on a specific shitcoin that may never do anything). Don’t DCA shitcoins.
