Please excuse the equipment and hauling trucks at Trott Brook Park! Crews are working to lay the bituminous asphalt on the new tennis court surface. Last week, the concrete perimeter & fence poles were installed, along with the new drain tile system.

The #MemorialDay Parade has been moved to the FT Center (1000 School St) because of inclement weather. Participants should still arrive to the field house at 9:15am with the parade starting at 10am. Public is encouraged to attend!

The tennis court improvements at Trott Brook Park are underway! Work includes the removal and excavation of the former court, installation of a new court with drain tile, chain link fencing and a new LED lighting system. Work should be complete by July 1 (weather depending). 🎾

Heads up everyone - flooding from recent storms has resulted in the temporary closures of Bailey Point Nature Preserve and the boat launch at Babcock Memorial Rest Area. Both are gated for everyone’s safety until flood waters recede. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

You’re invited to Lion John Weicht Park on Tue, 5/17 at 6pm for a dedication ceremony & plaque unveiling. At a meeting in February, Councilmembers designated the fields at Lions as “John Barth Fields,” paying homage to longtime educator, coach & @Elk_River_Elks administrator.
