Should have added that these two galant honourable gentlemen are Labour’s new MP for Selly Oak and immediately appointed Defence Minister @AlistairCarns and the new Conservative MP for Spelthorne @LincolnJopp. Both are great additions to Parliament.

Just noticed that there are TWO Military Cross winners in this year’s intake of new MPs.
In Parliament all veterans of Armed Forces are referred to as gallant but I wonder when the last parliamentary intake was with two gallantry medals? I’m guessing 1950s or 60s with WW2 vets.
