“This is the most corrupt administration not only in American history, but more corrupt than I could ever have imagined a president would be able to get away with to the extent that he has." motherjones.com/politics/2026/…

ICYMI:
In a shocking turn of events, Maria Farmer, who bravely reported Jeffrey Epstein to the FBI in 1996, is now taking legal action against the federal government after the FBI failed to act on her crucial tip. Nearly 30 years ago, Maria exposed Epstein's horrific crimes, including child pornography, sex trafficking, and the theft of images involving her minor sisters. Despite logging the complaint, the FBI's response was chillingly inadequate — one agent reportedly hung up on her.
What followed was even more chilling: Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, allegedly threatened Maria, forcing her to live in hiding under assumed identities for over two decades. This brave woman endured unimaginable fear and trauma as she fought for justice in silence.
In May 2025, Maria took a courageous step by suing the government, demanding accountability. Then, in December 2025, a breakthrough arrived with the release of the Epstein Files, thanks to the Epstein Files Transparency Act. This release confirmed what many had feared: the FBI had known about Epstein’s horrific activities for years before any charges were filed.
Maria's sister, Annie, rightfully asks, "How many people were harmed after that date?" A heart-wrenching question that reminds us all of the lives affected by the FBI's failure to take action sooner. This case serves as a painful reminder of the consequences of neglecting justice for so long.

HUMILIATING GOP MELTDOWN CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Rand Paul just pulled the chair out from under Marco Rubio in the Senate hearing — and the hypocrisy exploded in real time.
Rand drops the hammer:
“If another country bombed our air defenses, captured and removed our President on U.S. soil… would THAT be okay?”
Rubio freezes. He starts frantically erasing his notes, forgets how to breathe, and looks like a Trump sycophant who just realized he sold his soul for nothing.
Rand reminds him point-blank:
Congress declares war.
Congress controls the checkbook.
That Constitution you swore an oath to?
GOP loves executive power when Trump’s doing regime change abroad.
But flip the script? Suddenly it’s not so sexy.
Rubio couldn’t even choke out “NO.”
He couldn’t defend the endless foreign adventures he’s been selling for years.
Our tax dollars. Their cowardice.
This isn’t politics.
This is a bought-and-paid-for senator auctioning off the Constitution for donor dinners and Fox News applause.
GOP in power = rules for thee, but never for me.

By 1970, the photographer Peter Hujar guessed that he might have had sex with at least 15,000 people. “If he had five minutes,” Fran Lebowitz remembered, “he’d go somewhere to have sex.” Hujar wondered how his flings might look when photographed.
There were few photographers who worked with gay male eroticism in any serious or direct way at the time he was working. But by the mid-’60s, Hujar embraced the gay world rising to the surface. “Already, he had captured such a range of his own experience, so gay men — gay men who lived unafraid as gay men — were an unavoidable subject for him, especially when he saw them everywhere,” writes Andrew Durbin. “Inevitably, these men — their desires, their sexual practices — would find their way in front of his camera.”
In an excerpt from an upcoming biography about Hujar and the sculptor Paul Thek, Durbin writes about how Hujar turned his sexual encounters into works of art: nymag.visitlink.me/tHkE7U

The Onion has successfully acquired Alex Jones’ ‘Infowars’ after 17 months of legal battles and has debuted its new logo.
It will be turned into a parody of itself, with the support of the Sandy Hook families.

Graham Platner: “In 1990 there were fewer than 80 billionaires in the US. Today there are over 900. Do you see a state of Maine that is 10x wealthier than 1990? Have our wages gone up 10x? Do we have 10x the schools? 10x the hospitals? No, we have less. The money went somewhere and it wasn’t down here. it was stolen from us in a rigged system”

Having performed “Like A Prayer” with Madonna on her 2004 Reinvention World Tour, I know how special it must have felt for Sabrina Carpenter to perform that song with Madonna at Coachella this weekend!
