@ExplGuild game loops between Pokopia and PMD are wholly different. Pokopia was created because pokemon saw palword do well. And wanted to get out there with an officially licensed version before the market got saturated. PMD and detective pikachu returns didn’t sell that well

I think Pokopia shows that there is still a large audience for a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. People do, have, and still love Pokemon games where the Pokemon are the main characters rather than the humans. People want to play games where you live as a Pokemon.

@Sensiav703 I know they're different games, I'm just talking about a lot of the general world themes. You play as a Pokemon and interact with other Pokemon with little human relevance in the moment-to-moment gameplay.

@ExplGuild I don't think you can really imply interest in Mystery Dungeon when it's a completely different game to Pokopia. The latter point is fine but the former is a stretch

@ExplGuild Whenever I see the game, it doesn't look at all like a Mystery Dungeon game, but that series keeps getting brought up. Why is that? Is it really just the "Pokémon can talk" angle? Genuinely curious.

@OctoMaple Totally fair! The gameplay of the Mystery Dungeon games is not for everyone!

@ExplGuild Right but for me at least I prefer this over mystery dungeon. I Just prefer the more crozier gameplay and vibes of this more.
