Regardless of its positive or negative this has nothing to do with health. It’s all about high control of its members and them arbitrarily changing they minds.

@FadetoEx @Larchwood20 People should really learn the history before attempting to criticize. Even in the 70s and 80s, as well as into the 90s, the transmission of AIDS and HIV remained a significant issue. During that time, "fractionated" blood was being introduced by the medical profession.

@sinbad10101 @Larchwood20 No you’re mistaken. The governing body could have made this a conscience matter from the beginning. They enforced that it wasn’t a conscience matter and people died for obeying the GB.

@FadetoEx @Larchwood20 What this means is that Jehovah's Witnesses are constantly revising interpretations based on first-century standards. Any Christian religion that remains stuck in the past, with false ideologies—this applies to most of Christendom—is often unwilling to make the necessary changes

@sinbad10101 @Larchwood20 Your argument would mean that current JWs are no longer students and they have their doctrines confirmed. Current change in blood policy for eg just proves this is wholly incorrect.

@FadetoEx @Larchwood20 Since the Bible student era redefined how poorly Christendom understood Scripture, Russell's reform is better suited for learning. However, the public should be aware that the study of the Bible by Bible students and Jehovah's Witnesses differs in many respects.

@Larchwood20 Using this scriptures logic no member donations would be necessary as god would miraculously provide. And following that reasoning the fact he hasn’t shows they are not gods people.

Guess what I got in my door? An invitation for the "Special Bible Talk" and the "Memorial of Jesus' Death." Oh. Goody! The talk is titled, "Who Will Restore the Earth?" Watchtower. Seriously? The answer is God. Guess I do not have to hear the talk. Already know the answer.

@Atiaps_Manuel This change of policy will not help with trauma like that. It will basically only assist in planned elective surgery when a patient in good health can get their blood stored - and afford to do it !

This topic of Jehovah Witnesses now relaxing their rules of Blood transfusion reminded me of one patient . This man a massive chronic subdural haematoma ( basically,blood in the head pressing against the brain) Needed urgent surgery and all man was rattling the entire time was about the fact that he won't take a transfusion. We were counselling him about the risks and complications of the procedure and all he was focused on was the fact that HE WON'T TAKE BLOOD Even after multiple assurances that a transfusion won't be necessary since his HB is good..he was still just telling us that, if there comes a need for a transfusion, He'll rather die . Have never seen anything like it ...Even though I respected his decision, I was still so shocked at the fact that someone was willing to die a very preventable death just like that !!!!

I never believed @AndrewGold_ok rise up the podcast rankings was organic and he’s just confirmed exactly who is behind his rise. Gold is the epitome of what a posh accent and deep pockets can get you in Britain. Not an ounce of talent, charisma, or intellect. An Israel plant.

The news about Jehovah’s Witnesses lifting the ban on autologous blood transfusions is generating an incredibly high level of interest in Japan.

And maybe the GB are at the age that storing of blood is beneficial to them?
