People don't actually want advice. They already know what they should be doing. They want someone to listen and support them.

can we normalize emotionally supporting ppl when they bring up something emotional? like can we stop jumping to intellectualize? can we stop telling them what needs fixing or jumping to solutions? if someone says how they feel, it’s ok to just respond acknowledging the feeling
