30-34 overall. Guaranteed losing tourney but cut into the deficit and only down 5.35 units which I think secures a winning three year betting pattern.
Also had only two live futures to win the title from the regular season and they were Illinois and UConn. Probably hedging 😂

1-1 Yesterday (Arizona missed by half a point which is even more annoying because I also bet them -6.5 and could have used that as the official one bet!) 28-34 overall (-7.17 units overall)

Cardinal rule: always bet UConn in the tourney. We believe!

We’re running it back this year. One bet every NCAAT game. Same two rules:
1) don’t gamble with money you cannot afford to lose
2) don’t listen to random people’s bets on the internet

35-32 overall for the tournament. Ended up .21 units. We went 40-27 last year, so 75-59 on NCAAT bets the last two seasons. Not bad! We will see you next year.

@morrisoncrying UConn fans are more in the UNC category. Grew up in the area and certainly Walmart hard core. But since I was always on the “any team that gets rid of Duke or UNC is great” I’ve always had a soft spot for UConn. But I get it haha

@morrisoncrying I’ve thought about this a lot moving to Mass from NC over a decade ago. Growing up UNC fanbase was intolerable living in NC but didn’t even know that many Duke fans but living out of state the Duke fanbase is just terrible. It’s like a professional fanbase and the NJ fans woo boy

Also have been workshopping a take that UConn is the new Duke, at least in the sense of what Duke represents in the sport. Duke's players aren't as hateable now, and K was the driving force behind them being so awful.

This feels like such a big generational divide to me between younger and older UK fans. I hate UConn a lot more; I was born after the 92 Laettner game, and UConn has inflicted a lot more NCAAT pain to UK in my lifetime than Duke.

@FanaticDeac Oh the Duke fan part. You missed, that’s not my account. I’m an ACC guy and Duke was playing. If that was Wake I’d be saying the same thing, that’s all.

Yep. Things clearly changed at some point. Not sure if the flawed philosophy of “we have to even out fouls” was addressed by the refs. Seems like that is what happened.

@OdjHoops Agreed. Also it seems silly but if UConn had been even slightly below average instead of putrid from 3 for most of the game they would’ve been back and forth for the entirety

UConn made incredible plays down the stretch and won the game. Scheyer didn’t turn the ball over, Cayden Boozer did.
Scheyer is elite and a Duke title will happen very soon

@aj_holleman Defender didn’t “move into his path” he’s playing defense and wasn’t going to a spot and Boozer ejected him into troposphere. Even Gene said it was a charge
