As for current funding, Democrats put forward their own funding bill but the GOP refused to vote for it. You only want to acknowledge that Democrats voted against the GOP bill. Unpopular opinion: TSA doesn't make flying safer at all, but is a ritual designed to emascualte and demoralize people, conditioning them to obey truly ridiculous rules and orders.

We are enthusiastically willing to pay TSA workers today, and we will keep trying, but the sticking point is that Republicans want to attach ICE funding to it. We are not in agreement about ICE, but I don’t think workers and travelers should have to wait for an ICE deal.
