As an Iranian watching Iran vs. New Zealand:
• Sardar Azmoun was excluded after speaking out against the regime.
• Amir Reza Nasr-Azadani, a former Iranian footballer, remains imprisoned after the protest movement.
• The Lion & Sun flag is banned, while the regime flag is allowed.
• Many Team Melli players are controlled or influenced by the regime, and some openly support them
As an Iranian, who are you rooting for?

A man working as a welder at SpaceX for $28 an hour has just become a millionaire.
Juan Hernandez, who came from Mexico, welded rockets for SpaceX at $28 an hour.
SpaceX gave him $10,000 in stock when he went full time in 2015, and he bought more with every paycheck for 10 years.
$SPCX is now trading at $167, making his shares worth over $1 million.

Each country’s team pays for the hotel of their choice. FIFA gave each team $12.5 million, Austria chose to spend theirs on the Ritz, Algeria chose the DoubleTree. It’s not that hard to do some research.
Front Office Sports@FOS
Austria's team hotel for the FIFA World Cup is the five-star Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara. Algeria's hotel: The DoubleTree in Lawrence, Kansas.

@goalsside Just to be clear - FIFA prices the tickets, not the host country.

@Persian_Culer In what world would one nation openly host fans of another nation they’re currently at war with?
There will be enough fans at their games (majority even) just won’t be Islamic republic fans so they cry.
