@VeriitasGames @mixplate8 The taillights on those are held in by two flimsy plastic tabs and are easily broken off…the wife has one, ask me how I know 🤦🏼. I’m not sold on the authenticity of that video personally, but it’s a separate incident and has no bearing on the fatal action, to me.

There's a bunch of misinformation going around about the BBC video everyone is talking about but nobody seems to actually be linking, where it appears as if Pretti was involved in some kind of altercation with CBP some days before he was killed.
Folks are saying the BBC is denying reporting on it, which obviously isn't true. I saw a bunch saying it's AI-generated, but it doesn't immediately stand out to me as being fake. IMO, I don't see any reason to think it's not genuine.
What's most interesting to me, is that even when he's clearly committing an actual crime in this case (when he wasn't in the case of the shooting), and is actually escalatory himself, how (seemingly) more competent & less unhinged agents were able to handle the situation without killing him or needlessly assaulting anyone else around him, as compared to what we all saw happen some days later, when all of the escalation was done by the agent, the use of force wasn't remotely proportional to the situation, and then the situation (ultimately created by the agent) resulted in a clusterfuck accidental discharge firing squad.
THIS clip is actually a FAFO kind of moment... and IMO just makes what the agent did days later that much more fucking sickening, in comparison.

@Onepeg Takes an average of .75 seconds to move your foot from gas pedal to brake. They use both the “reasonable” standard (which is based on an officers perspective, not ours) and “totality of the circumstance”. Its a very high bar. Had this happened 5-6-7 later, different outcome.

The "totality" of the circumstance removes lethal force once the firearm, that the shooter saw in plain view directly in front of him, was removed.
