This kind of thing is why people are so outraged. At her last appointment, this firefighter's wife was told she was going to be taken off of an ICE supervision program because she was doing so well. Despite that, ICE arrested her at the check-in, even though her case isn't over.

ICE is seeing this kind of backlash because three weeks ago they made the explicit decision to abandon even any pretense of going after people with criminal records and just started rounding up people who were 100% in compliance with their obligations — the low-hanging fruit.
