@alexhibbert Was there a single irony in any of the examples she sings about in that song? They sounded like coincidences. Nth America has trouble understanding such concepts eg they’re fond of saying “could care less” when they’re trying to say couldn’t care less.

This is just Alanis Morissette's 'ironic', in another form. A word thrust into exaggerated usage, but with the nuance rarely understood. So the edges grow fuzzy. Gaslighting is a perfectly legitimate charge, and a useful word, if we take the time to learn the definition.
