I lost my dad in 2024. That changed everything. I’m George, 32, an accountant from the UK 🇬🇧. After years of watching friends and family live paycheck to paycheck with no emergency fund, I decided I didn’t want that life for my family — especially now with my 1-year-old son. My current net worth is £115k. I started investing in 2017, and my goal is simple: grow it every year while still enjoying life — not just grinding. Money isn’t the end goal. Freedom, time with family, and peace of mind are. I want to set my son up for a stronger future. Inflation is quietly stealing our wealth, houses are getting further out of reach, and wages aren’t keeping up. ‘Playing Monopoly without investing is a guaranteed way to lose.’ I’m resetting my page to document my real journey to financial freedom — practical investments, useful tech, and lessons learned along the way. If you’re also trying to build a better future without sacrificing today, drop a 🔥 or comment “Let’s go” below. Welcome to the journey.

Remaining cash received from HL. Moving my SIPP to 212 was probably one of my best moves this year.

Controversial opinion: Teens should be having fun, chasing adventures, and figuring out who they are. They shouldn’t be doom-scrolling stock charts or stressing about index funds. Your early 20s? Pour everything into personal growth, mastering your craft, building real skills, and aggressively leveling up your career (and therefore your earnings). Spend the rest of your money on enjoyment. Only once you have solid income and direction should you go hard on investing. Even then you should still keep some aside for enjoyment. Wealth compounds better when you actually have money to put in. What do you think?

@Pinarello_Pete @GMFinX Yes but you haven’t ? It’s easier said than done . If you’re planning to do that then great . All I’m saying is most don’t. If your say in a 3 bed house your never really selling and downsizing even when older so the gain is never realised . For most people

Net Worth. How do you calculate it? Net Worth = Total Assets - Total Liabilities Add up all your Assets: Property Bank balances + Cash Investments Pensions Vehicles Valuables The subtract all your Liabilities: Mortgage Loans Credit Card Debt And then you are left with your Net Worth. Personally I exclude Student Debt as it’s more of a tax than a debt currently. The outstanding balance is irrelevant. What’s your net worth?

Strive Inc. The First Daily Dividend Stock in U.S. History Is Here! Strive Inc. ($ASST) just dropped a game-changer with its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock ($SATA). Starting June 16, 2026, $SATA becomes the first U.S.-listed security to pay cash dividends every single business day — not monthly, not quarterly… daily. Why This Matters: • 13% annualized dividend rate (currently), paid out ~250 times a year. • Effective yield ~13.88% thanks to more frequent compounding (that’s an extra ~7.6 bps boost). • Backed by Strive’s Bitcoin treasury strategy — debt-free balance sheet, no margin, pure exposure with steady cash flow. • Trades near $100 par value on Nasdaq. Cumulative dividends + strong protections for holders. (Similar to $STRC ) Imagine waking up to tiny (but consistent) dividend deposits each working day. This is perfect for income-focused investors, compounding enthusiasts, or anyone wanting Bitcoin-adjacent yield without the full volatility of holding BTC directly. If you’re building a dividend portfolio or looking for high-yield plays tied to Bitcoin’s upside, $SATA deserves a serious look. DYOR, of course. What’s your take — loading up on daily dividends?

It’s just basic accounting that a house is an asset. • It has market value — you can sell it for cash. • It can generate income (e.g., through rent if it’s an investment property). • It can appreciate over time (historically, real estate in many areas tends to increase in value). • It provides utility (shelter), which has measurable economic value.

@tradestotrades @GMFinX I have a 5 bed house, kids clowns I could get an apartment and realise my asset. Many people plan on their house being their retirement plan.🤷‍♂️

@GMFinX Property sold quickly ! I strongly disagree . Personally I’d say is a very un liquid asset . Again if you have more than 1 house it’s an assert . If you live in it it’s not . Ask yourself are you going to downsize when you’re older ? Most won’t

@GMFinX @Pinarello_Pete Yes. It’s what are you doing with the net 1k ? Majority of people have equity in a house and it just sits there . Reality is most people won’t re invest that money or downsize and bank the money .
