From 2009-2012ish, I ran a #fediverse social network that had thousands of users. It was a slog with nothing but bot trash and spam at the end of my run, and was completely un-maintainable. Since then, I have been boosting other replacements for #BigTech social media. Not a single one has succeeded. UNTIL NOW: PrivacySafe.Social is going parabolic and we are gaining users by the minute/hour. Sure, some are bots or bad actors but we are not having any issues moderating them.
