Experimentation with AI (Chapter 13087), led me to @base44. Neat app builder, with an outcome that is 10x closer to a real software app than what I was able to produce with other tools that creates amazing UI, but nothing behind the scenes or "apps" (not really) from LLM.

Q7. Learning curves are inevitable when starting a new job. What differences should you anticipate from new hires in remote work vs. in-person when it comes to learning a new role? #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal A6. Goal is that once onboarding is done, they should feel part of the team, know what is expected of them, and have access to the people, tools and resources to start producing. Seems simple and obvious but it's not at all. Keep those in mind and dedicate time to it! #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal A5. Playing to the company’s values and strengths. If you hired it right, the team you have with you believes in what you’re doing and wants to be part of it. Give them the transparency of where you are in the journey and what their role in it is! #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal A4. A lot of networking with other founders, @LSparkGlobal, investors, communities and referrals from your teams and friends. There’s a certain point where you exhaust most of these, which is the time to find solutions and partners in the market (like @nugget.ai 😊!) #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal We’ve also been working on hiring interns through an internship program, to help build our future team. Although these are shorter term positions, they will be critical for building our future team. #SaasChats

Q3. How do you decide whether it's best to hire contract, full time, or outsource to an agency? #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal A3. 🤔For how long do you need it? how important/vital is this? how difficult would it be to relay the work? and what’s the fastest/easiest way to get the results? These questions are good starting points to figure it out, plus the element of paying/finding talent #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal A2. Someone whose skills complement the founding team’s skillsets + whatever is needed to get to the next step. It’s that person that adds value immediately to the next goal you have at hand without a lot of instructions and can grow with the team and the changes. 🤞#SaaSChats

Q2. What do you think the first #hire should be beyond the founding team? What are some of the most important early roles to fill? #SaaSChats

@LSPARKGlobal A1. It’s a combination of skills to do the job(s) + attitude, drive, personality + fit with the team and company. While some of these sometimes overlap, they’re all important in the early days of the company, and should not be neglected! #SaaSChats
