@GoAstroMo I had a remote coworker ask ChatGPT to clarify something I said instead of asking me to elaborate. The screenshot had my name in it which means they had to provide basic informations about me to contextualize the situation to ChatGPT. It was during a chat btw.

@AstronoMisfit AI can and does help scientists in a lot of ways! Your link is behind a paywall, so I don’t know what uses it’s talking about, but even the headline points at a big problem with genAI models: they make shit up. And I don’t date scientists, so it wasn’t a factor
