The State Executive of the GFP has endorsed our President’s stand in the House and said it has forgiven and forgotten whatever that subsequently happened. For us this chapter is truly closed. We have no intention to open another chapter even if someone else wants to. They should rather not waste time and work for the ongoing campaign for the bypolls.

GFP held its State Executive meeting, decided to strengthen the party across 25 constituencies. The party reaffirmed its alliance with Congress, confirming it will not place a candidate in for Ponda by-election and will support the Congress candidate. GFP expressed solidarity with the Mirabag agitation and the Enough is Enough movement, while also announcing a public meeting on Goa Statehood Day. Addressing recent criticism, party leaders made it clear that the fight is against the BJP, not within the opposition.
