This is not okay nor should it be normal just to go to school. We have a problem with guns in our society…and yes, there are other problems too, but the gun problem makes all the others infinitely worse and more deadly.

If there is an announcement while class is going on, the sound of the intercom followed by the pause before the person starts talking to say whatever it is makes my heart race every time, and I’m sure it does to students as well.
