Reading for writing in geography. Today Year 8 read a challenging piece of text (12-14 reading age) and together we highlighted key vocabulary we didn’t know and learnt to summarise the text on the other. Brilliant understanding Year 8! 📚 #literacy

‘Never be afraid to try something new’ Y11 carried out a new formative assessment technique we wanted to try yesterday. Each group was given a different colour to annotate the landforms. Then we had to visit each of the different tables and improve each other’s work ✅

We are so excited to welcome Year 7 and 11 into school today. Years 8,9 and 10 see you tomorrow. Wishing lots of luck on everyone’s first day of the 2025.26 school year!

The last two days of Interhouse have been an absolute pleasure. Two days of hard work, two days of new activities but most of all two days where our Holy Family spirit has shone through. A huge well done to everyone who helped to finish the HFC Eco garden! 🪻🌼🌷

Today 8P1 loved trialling the ClassVR headsets to bring far away environments to life in the classroom 🌍 Exciting things to come for the new 2025.26 curriculum!

Year 10 loved having an A level Geology introduction today by @RochdaleSFC! We learned how crucial it is to have a variety of data, such as rock type & flood risk, when choosing the most suitable location for a nuclear waste facility. Thank you Dr Entwistle
