Hornets come away with the victory over Greenville 10-2. Clay Wiesen and Cam Whalen led the offense with 2 hits apiece. Justin Cioffi hammers his first hit. Nick Osborne with another solid outing for 6 inning. @HSD_Athletics

More highlights: - Asher Patton and Andrew Gay combined on a well-executed baserunning play to score the 1st run of the game. - Clay Wiesen went 2-3 with 2 steals and a big defensive play to keep the no-hitter intact. - Jordan Volpe threw well (1 ER in 5 IP) for Sharon.

Quick highlights: - Cam Whalen homered (his 4th of the year). - David Greenburg stayed hot and came up with a clutch, 2-out, 2-run hit in the 3rd. - Matt Jordan made a key over-the-shoulder catch in LF with the bases loaded in the 1st.

The Hornets pick up another region win this afternoon, 7-0 over Sharon. Jorge Leedham, Nick Osborne, and Connor Evans combine for a no-hitter as Hickory moves to 7-2 (4-1 in the region).

In the second half of the Varsity-JV doubleheader, the JV Hornets won 13-7 in 7 innings.

Hayden Gallagher threw a 5-inning, one-hitter as Hickory defeated Grove City this afternoon by a final score of 11-0. Clay Wiesen hit a grand slam and doubled, Gallagher homered, and David Greenburg & Nick Osborne each drove in a pair in the win, sending the Hornets to 6-2.

Today's games at Grove City have been postponed due to weather. Varsity will play @ Grove City tomorrow at 3:00 PM. JV will play Grove City @ Greenville tomorrow at 1:00 PM, then play Greenville @ 3:00 PM.

Varsity drops a tough one to Franklin, 12-0, at home this afternoon. Hats off to the Knights and the strong pitching performance by Ian Haynes (5-inning no-hitter). JV followed varsity and played to a 6-6 tie in 4 innings, with home runs by David Ristvey and Joey Fazzone.

The Hornets picked up the win at Sharpsville this afternoon, 10-1. Nick Osborne threw a complete game, with 7 K's and 0 BB's. Hickory will host Franklin at on Wednesday afternoon (Varsity & JV games at Hermitage Little League Complex), starting at 4PM. @HSD_Athletics

Today's Varsity & JV doubleheader vs. Oil City has been canceled due to weather (reschedule date has not yet been set). To catch some home baseball this week, come out and support our Jr. High team as they host Sharon at the Hermitage Little League Complex on Wednesday at 4PM.

JV came from behind and scored 6 in the 5th to tie Sharpsville 9-9, then defeated Mercer 17-3. Joey Fazzone went all 5 innings to pick up the win and everyone hit to keep the offense rolling. @HSD_Athletics

Good work turned in by the Junior High Hornets today as they sweep their doubleheader by scores of 11-3 and 9-3.

Varsity defeated Greenville 18-3 (4 innings) to move to 4-1 (3-0 in the Region). Nick Osborne got the win, Cam Whalen had a HR, 2 2B's, and 6 RBI, Andrew Gay had a pair of 2B's and 4 RBI, and Jorge Leedham went 3-4 with 3 RBI, including the walk-off RBI single. @HSD_Athletics
