The Power of Santa Ana Winds - At 2:40/2:45 PM today, strong Santa Ana winds (out of the east) had caused San Diego Int'l to reach 90F with a humidity of 9%🥵 A quick wind shift to the south meant that not even 50 minutes later the temp had fallen to 72F with a humidity of 53%😱

According to @AreaClimtologst Prism Data shows the US having the 2nd warmest meteorological winter on record. The West heat outweighs the East cold.

Meteorological winter is done. It was top 5. Maybe top 3 warmest when the numbers are finalized. You wouldn’t know it or even believe it if you live in the East. We heard lots about the cold and snow in the East, but the West BAKED as the warmest winter on record, overpowering the cold in the East - which was really only modestly cold compared to the period of record. The 3 month max anomaly was +10°F in the High Plains and the min anomaly was -6F in the Northeast.
