IDEA GUY: As a child I spent countless hours playing Sonic Riders. At the basic level it’s a racing game in which you use boost and etc to finish a lap while maneuvering obstacles. I was reminded of this while playing Fleshette’s Dungeon @ArtixKrieger @DageTheEvil @GoldRavenAQ3D

Gonna be respectful & make this quick. The entire album and roll out has been about cycles. Rise and fall. It’s the Civic he sold his first tape out of. The idea was ending it in it. The Civic has been on stages and a recurring theme in the music. It’s significant. @JoeBudden

Joe budden says it’s nobody more happy than him that J.Cole Honda civic broke down . He says he was tried of the fake humble gimmick

One thing I don’t think Cole detractors understand is that he fits a very specific lane for his listeners that Drake & Kendrick do not serve: the appeal to the everyday person. Yes, all 3 artists have songs that do that but Cole does that on every single album and to a higher level. His fans do not care if Kendrick has more depth conceptually or if Drake puts out more hits, Cole fits a third lane that combines the commerciality with the concepts and delivers it from the perspective of a man willing to drive across the country to show how grateful he is to his fans - you can’t say that about the other 2. This is not to say you can’t prefer the other 2 (music is subjective!) but I think it’s completely wrong to view his legacy in terms of how he compares to his peers because he’s established a separate lane for himself and will be looked at as one of the greatest rappers ever regardless of what Kendrick and Drake do

Billboard's Carl Lamarre on J. Cole's legacy after 'The Fall-Off': “Cole’s legacy at the time of what he’s billing as this final LP feels unresolved... The biggest question down the road won’t be how good J. Cole was; it’s how rap’s middle child fared against his long-time rivals and peers.” "Even when Cole tasted victory, Kendrick and Drake reclaimed the crown, reminding him where he stood in rap’s hierarchy. This became the story of Cole’s career against his lyrical adversaries: always good, but never quite great enough." “Cole may never win the Big 3 debate, but surviving, thriving and always staying in the conversation might be an even greater accomplishment.”

Ebro, Laura & Rosenberg debate J. Cole’s Album vs other double-disc hip-hop albums: “I think [The Fall Off] has the least amount of skips from any double disc album I’ve ever heard” Ebro adds that J. Cole does not care what you think. He did this album for his fans & not for people who feel some type of way about him.
