If you'd like a second or third or tenth opinion for Breeders Cup Saturday, here are my top picks for each championship race: Race 4: #4 Tamara-Didn't beat much in SA prep but looked great doing it. Dazzling Del Mar Debutante run as a 2 YO showed she likes Del Mar. Richard Mandella will have her cranked up and ready to run her best third start in the form cycle. Race 5: #8 AG Bullet-Doesn't need the lead, yet is brilliantly fast on her best day. Should be undefeated this year if you look at her disaster of a trip three-back on KY Derby Day at Churchill. Race 6: #7 Imagination-Won the SA Sprint Championship basically running sideways. Has been working up a storm since then; whose to say he can't run even better if he straightens up this time? Race 7: #3 Cliquot-Searching for an upset with a filly who has improved virtually every race. Race 8: #1 Rebel's Romance-World class gamer will be up for the fight. Race 9: #7 Sierra Leone-Defending champ has never run a bad race. He'll be closing like a train if stable pal Contrary Thinking can sizzle on the lead and set it up right. Race 10: #7 Johannes-All class racer. Almost won this last year, and looks to go out with a bang before he's off to the breeding shed. Race 11: #3 Nysos-Might be the most raw-talented horse out of any Breeders Cup dirt entrant this year. I reckon he'll be pretty tough. Race 12: #9 Cinderella's Dream-Was an unlucky loser in this heat last year and, believe it or not, finds a tad "easier" company than what she's seen in her last couple of starts in tough Group 1 races overseas.
