Some people think I'm ragebaiting, but I'm not. I say things in a joking way, but I am serious about this. Final Fantasy used to be the best series in the world, and now it's not. And it won't ever be if we keep shielding it from criticism and attacking anyone who points out its gaping, obvious, critical flaws. Art in video games matters, especially when you "remake" one of the greatest stories in the medium. FF7 Remake & Rebirth may have Modern Graphics, but they have lost what made the 1997 game so special artistically. Every major scene in this game has been rewritten to be less impactful than it was in the original: Cloud's Flashback, Pillar Collapse, Midgar Zolom, Dyne's death, Aeris's death, President Shinra's death, Red XIII's reveal with Seto. When it's not rewriting scenes to be less effective, it's adding entire segments that are pointless & boring: Gongaga, Cait Sith Box Throwing, low stakes scenes of Zack doing nothing. This game's filler has filler. If the series wants to be taken seriously by people who aren't already die hard FF fans, things like this matter. Final Fantasy used to be a highly respected name. Now it's just expensive, weird and disappointing. #FF7 #FF7Rebirth #FinalFantasy7

The last thing that should have ever influenced FF7 Remake is Final Fantasy X2 That game marked the sharp decline in the series' quality & storytelling. It began the Dark Ages of Final Fantasy (from which it never recovered) FF7 had its own identity. It didn't need to be mashed with FFX2 #FF7 #FF7Rebirth #FinalFantasy7

I grilled for the first time in my life today! My burgers were 🔥 and everyone enjoyed them. I even clicked the tongs together a few times (I get it now). TBH the grill masters out there dont get enough credit. It was hot and so much pressure but the glory i felt was 🙌
