@Geo_papic @Malone_Wealth I think another take is that XOM already rallied 30+% preceding the war, and that super majors being full stack, don’t make as much as E&P when price rises, because their refinery margins get slaughtered.

@Malone_Wealth I like this take. I want to believe it. Another way to think about it, however, is that the Brent is trading on supply risk, whereas the underlying equities are also having to consider recession risk due to supply risk to crude.

Oil is up 55% in three weeks. Chevron $CVX is up 8% and Exxon $XOM is up 4.7% in the same time. Do you know why? Almost no institutions and large buyers are buying in. Starting to think that having an ~infinite number of cheap drones is just as powerful as having nukes. Plus, they have the added advantages of being quickly replenishable, undetectable/regulatable by agencies like the IAEA, and are a fraction of the cost.

@JasonrShuman Many of the PEs and strategics we work with that are rolling up trades are spending a lot of money on internal trade schools. They need their own proprietary pipeline, and they need to be able to retrain/uptrain new techs brought in from outside. And backlogs continue to grow.

@TheStalwart It's more nuanced than that. International law exists in the same way insider trading laws exist. The laws exist for some, but not for all, based on who they are/their position of power. So the laws exist for some, but not for all, which makes them more theory than law.
