@JHCPAL I'm sure it is - the local word, before it was repurposed and changed to "chav" for its current use. Its ep 9 of series 2 if you want to watch. Even with video you'd get no more from that clip as you have to know who he's talking about, Martin Cooper, an unemployed undesirable.

@HowHauntedPod The use there seems to in the "old way" of the word rather than OED definition. ( Albeit that is based on me listening rather than having the benefit of any visual clues.)
