@tariqnasheed When a White person defends themselves, the standard for what constitutes self defense is low. But when a Black person defends themselves, the public narrative strips away that nuance, demanding total submission & de-escalation on the part of the Black person. #KarmeloAnthony

Not true. I’m from Atlanta, GA & I frequently commented on the Bryanna Barozzini/Halia Culbertson case. I think Bryanna overreacted, but she wasn’t the aggressor. She didn’t want to fight. No reason for her to do life. And the White people responding to the case agreed with me!

@MrsCharmCarm Ma’am, I live in Frisco, TX. This incident and case has devastated our community. The only reason someone like yourself FROM PA continues posting about it is bc you think it is racial. You wouldn’t care if it were 2 white kids or 2 black kids. A student stabbed an unarmed boy.

No, Austin Metcalf chose to escalate by not keeping his hands to himself. A cop would’ve shot him.
FBB@FactBasedBanter

@MrsCharmCarm @MaryAnnreports @Savsays Unfortunately, it appears that Karmelo chose to escalate what may have led to a physical altercation into a stabbing. It was a mistake. We see this lack of reasoning in two types of people, criminals and the emotionally undeveloped. Karmelo would be the latter.

There's just no way Karmelo Anthony is innocent. Every single piece of evidence is not in his favor.

@MattWalshBlog “Karmelo went into a tent where he didn’t belong & was told 15 times to leave but refused…” - @MattWalshBlog This has no bearing on his innocence or guilt. The castle doctrine doesn’t apply here. Karmelo was not legally trespassing. His refusal to leave wasn’t provocation.

Anthony went into a tent where he didn’t belong, was told 15 times to leave and refused, then pulled out a knife and stabbed someone to death. Not only is he clearly guilty and the self defense claim a total farce, he should be facing the death penalty. First degree murder.

@BreannaMorello You omitted that this ‘witness’ was a friend of the victim. The severity of Metcalf’s contact can’t be verified. According to those who saw the footage, you can’t see what either boy does. You see Austin go to Karmelo & then chaos. Some say it looks like Karmelo was being jumped

🚨UPDATE🚨 The judge told the media not to identify the current witness because he’s a minor. This witness says Karmelo Anthony was asked at least 15 times to leave their tent—Anthony refused to leave. The teen says no one ganged up on Karmelo. Witness adds that Karmelo was provoking Austin. Witness says Austin Metcalf pushed Karmelo but it wasn’t a hard push. That’s when Karmelo pulled the knife from his book bag and stabbed Austin. He adds, Karmelo tossed the weapon and ran off. The 9-1-1 call placed by the witness was played.

🚨UPDATE🚨 DAY 2 OF TESTIMONY IN THE KARMELO ANTHONY MURDER TRIAL: The jury was shown a photo of the weapon used to kill Austin Metcalf. The photo was of a 5-inch folding knife with blood on it. Frisco Police Officer Jacob Shalz testified after he found the murder weapon Karmelo Anthony tossed. The knife was found 3-4 rows from where the crime took place. Shalz also located Anthony’s backpack. Frisco Police officer Eduardo Cortez testified. When Karmelo Anthony heard Cortez say he had the "alleged suspect," over the police scanner, Anthony volunteered said, "I'm not alleged. I did it. He put his hands on me. I told him not to." The jury watched that body camera footage. Frisco firefighter Neil Adams testified and stated that Austin Metcalf was gray and didn’t have a pulse when he responded. They did everything to save him. Adams got emotional on the stand and started tearing up.
