At both the state and local level, it's time to phase out honors for Cesar Chavez and replace them with honors for Dolores Huerta, a true hero of the labor and human rights movements. Kudos to State Reps. @RepAGC and @egonzalezjr96, for starting this effort.

Mary Riseling is a longtime state government leader with 30+ years of service, including 20+ years as a policy analyst at the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office. She now chairs the Illinois Comptroller Merit Commission and remains active in her community through volunteer work.

There's a decline in on-time delivery rates, especially in the Springfield area, but the USPS continues to move ahead with its restructuring plan that in some cases has local mail going out of state before being delivered in Illinois. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this issue.

Problems with USPS continue to concern me. It's vital that payments sent out by my office to vendors, providers and individuals get there on time as expected. Even a one day delay can have serious consequences for our most vulnerable. sj-r.com/story/news/loc…

Today, I presented the first installment of a $1.5M grant to @ihccbusiness, investing in the continued growth of small businesses across Illinois.

Lindsey is a community organizer, operational leader, & advocate who played a central role in the reorganization and revitalization of Normal NOW, helping guide the chapter through a period of strategic realignment, renewed mission clarity, & deeper community connection.

It is an honor to be recognized as Person of the Year by the IL Asphalt Pavement Association. Thank you for this recognition of my efforts, and the efforts of the employees at the Comptroller’s office, over the last 9 years providing public service & prompt payments.

It was great joining @wcpt820’s Joan Esposito to discuss how my Prevailing Wage Executive Order has been a success in Illinois—and is now being replicated across the country to help ensure working men and women are paid a fair, livable wage.

Chanel is a firefighter, Marine Corps veteran, & proud servant to her community. She made history as the 1st African American female firefighter in her department, a milestone that reflects both her determination & her willingness to open doors for those who will come after her.

I had the honor of recognizing an incredible group of women in Springfield whose leadership, determination, and commitment are making a real difference in our communities. Their achievements speak volumes, and the positive impact they continue to create is truly inspiring.

We put out a weekly transparency report each Wednesday on social media, and the Illinois Office of Comptroller's website has information about everything from the state's Rainy Day Fund to how quickly we are paying the state's bills.
