A lot of young men are working brutally physical jobs, making what used to be decent money, and still realizing it might not be enough to buy a normal house. That’s a dangerous thing for a society to ignore. If nothing changes, a lot of young men are going to become very angry.

I really hate even addressing this, but PF is just such a bad idea. Being able to gather 400 people in one place and display organization and seriousness through marching is impressive. It takes a lot of logistics, preparation, and organization. The reason people do marches, either in 1920s Italy or the civil rights era in America, is to show this logistical capacity as well as the popularity of the movement. This display generally makes governments uneasy; governments begin to think, 'shit, that's a lot of organized people, what if they deployed against me?' And that can be effective soft power; the government in question may try to pander to the group, take special interest in not aggravating them, or even attempt to compromise and make the movement a part of their platform. But make no mistake, the reason this soft power is generated is that the organized movement is making the government feel uneasy. And making the government feel uneasy is extremely dangerous. Currently, it seems Patriot Front is unable to wield any soft power. No one in the government has actually been intimidated by their antics. Republicans jump on them for the opportunity to express the difference between themselves and the 'real racists' or get an easy layup and call Patriot Front FBI agents funded by the SPLC. The reason it still exists is that it is ineffective. The second it becomes even a little effective, it will be targeted by every means of the US Federal government and crushed. I do see the purpose and immense value of being able to organize people to arrive and take up space in real life. So does the government, though, that is the purpose of the marches historically, to show the government what you can do, and force them to deal with you. Peacocking like this is just begging for a confrontation with an enemy who you haven't earned the respect and fear of, an enemy you cannot hope to win against and who knows you are at their mercy.
