Here's one that refers to T cell exhaustion IN THE TITLE.
"However, the marked exhaustion pattern remains over time. This dysregulation could constitute a risk factor for reinfection and the development of other pathologies."

@InCytometry T cell exhaustion in SARS2 and HIV are different, I wouldn't disagree with that one bit.
With HIV, the compromised immune system is a risk for many common infections.
But with SARS2, the compromised immune system is a risk risk for the MOST COMMON infection

@NickAnderegg I pointed out a clarification to your post, so yes, I am helping. I have not said that there is no impact on immunity. ALL viruses have some form of immune evasion or suppression.

That is a very, very important distinction.

Literally take the issue up with the papers that use the term "T cell exhaustion" if it's actually being used incorrectly. I'm just an interpreter who is connecting the pieces.

So what you're saying is that you're a pedant fixated on a specific definition of T cell exhaustion? Have you considered that terms evolve?
Why is your definition correct, but every other experienced immunologist or virologist using that term IN THE LITERATURE this way is wrong?
