Happy birthday to Jerry Parr, who would have been 94 years old today. Here is Mr. Parr (right) fishing with President Carter on Clarence Lake in Alaska, July 1980.

Mr. Parr later referred to this event as both the worst and best day of his life.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of former First Lady Roslyn Carter (here with Jerry Parr at Camp David in 1979). She was a very gracious lady and a lifelong helpmate to her husband. Rest in peace.
