Great meeting with the @Ind_Review_EdNI this afternoon. Our #education system(s) needs real change, to meet the needs of ALL young people. We encourage the panel members to be bold in their thinking, and to bring forward truly transformative recommendations.

I also raised issues in regards to my MYP education priorities: -life skills e.g. money management and interest rates -move away from traditional exam system

Had a meeting tonight with @SSUofNI and the independent review panel for education commissioned by DE. Disability inequality within education was a main issue raised: -unfair exam arrangements process -accessibility issues with curriculum -underfunding of SEN (Thread)

As well as touring the school's facilities, the panel had the opportunity to meet with staff and pupils, and discuss the strengths and challenges of special schools.

Yesterday we welcomed panel members from the Independent Review of Education and officials from @Education_NI for a tour of @MitchellHouseS1.

The attendees were also shown the centre provision, including the garden, where young people engage in their learning. 2/2

We welcomed the Independent Review of Education panel as well as officials from @Education_NI to Castlereagh EOTAS where they were given a short presentation by Gillian Cuthbert, EA Interim Head of Service for Post Primary Behaviour Support. 1/2
