@GeekGoji Byakko attempts a sigh, the sound coming off like howling winds raking through a desolate summit. "So it is, so it is... Dying meaninglessly seems to be the one thing mortal beings do most of all, especially people."1/2

@GeekGoji Despite her seemingly mournful words, however, it was clear Byakko felt no grief. Though apparently, her regrets seems the most of all genuine. Whereas others see a mountain of corpses, the great fox sees wasted opportunities. As for what, one cannot tell. 2/2

@Berlography @NoizuBee Imagine if Niddhögg is actually completely unrelated to Ragnarok and he's just a creature that exists. Eat roots, sleep, become mature, fly to the highest place available and SCREAM for the world to hear then mate and wither to dust. Rinse and repeat.

@Berlography @NoizuBee Y'know, I kinda vibe with the idea that Niddhögg metamorphosize like an insect and he simply reached maturity after Ragnarok. Could explain why he gnaws on the root of the World Tree, similar to a cicada.

@NoizuBee For the most part, yeah, he just sits around and eats corpses. But, iirc, it's actually the last stanza of the text that said that he flew off. Am recalling that from my head rn though, so I suggest to look up actual sources.
