During this Month of Second Chances, we’re proud to highlight another organization making a lasting impact 💙
@IndyFathers (FFC) has been empowering fathers and strengthening families since 1993—helping children and communities thrive across Indianapolis.
Through programs focused on education, workforce development, and family stability, FFC invests in second chances that lead to long-term success. Their Out and Up program supports individuals returning from incarceration with job training, life skills, and the tools needed to rebuild. From High School Equivalency prep to construction training and their Strong Fathers class, every program is designed to create stability and restore connections. 👨👧👦✨
In partnership with the Office of Public Health & Safety, returning residents are connected to essential resources like employment, housing, and case management—building safer, stronger communities for all.
Because when fathers are supported, families grow stronger—and communities rise together. 🤝

FACT vs. MYTH 🗳️
MYTH: Individuals with a felony conviction can never vote.
FACT: In Indiana, you only lose your right to vote while incarcerated. Once you are on parole, probation, or have completed your sentence—you can register and cast your ballot. ✅
At the Office of Public Health & Safety, we’re committed to making sure returning residents have access to accurate information and the resources they need to re-engage with their community.

The answer is: our Resource Coordinators at the Release Lobby! 🤝
Follow along as one of our Resource Coordinators, Kahlil, walks us through what reentrants experience upon exit—a space built for support, guidance, and a fresh start. 🏁 From day one, OPHS is here to connect individuals to the resources they need to rebuild and move forward.
With 24/7 access in Marion County, second chances don’t wait—and neither do we. ⏱️

Today, we honor one of the bravest and brightest @IMPDnews officers to ever protect and serve our city. 6 years after Officer Breann Leath was tragically killed in the line of duty, her presence is still sorely missed by our police department and our entire community.

During Second Chances Month, we’re proud to highlight organizations creating real pathways to success—like @RecycleForce. ♻️
This Indianapolis-based social enterprise is transforming lives by providing paid transitional employment and workforce development for individuals returning from incarceration. Through hands-on training in electronics recycling, participants gain immediate income, build job skills, and take meaningful steps toward long-term careers.
With a model centered on “Any Job, Better Job, Career,” and support from partners like Keys2Work and OPHS, @RecycleForce is helping reduce recidivism while strengthening our community. From workforce opportunities to community recycling services, their impact reaches far beyond the workplace.
Second chances start with opportunity—and @RecycleForce is making it happen every day.

FACT vs. MYTH ⚖️
This month, OPHS is clearing the air around reentry misconceptions!
